Access to play is blocked
For the entire period, no participation is possible through the account: no tickets, no instants, no draw entries.
The Charter of the French language and its regulations govern the consultation of English-language content.
Your controls // 18+ only
It blocks access to play for the full period you choose and stops promotional communications for that whole time. That it cannot be lifted on request is not an oversight — it is the protection.
01 // What self-exclusion is
It is the strongest of the three tools, and the only one that deliberately removes your ability to change your mind.
01
For the entire period, no participation is possible through the account: no tickets, no instants, no draw entries.
02
Marketing messages are suppressed for the duration. Essential messages about the account itself are not marketing and may still be sent.
03
A self-exclusion cannot be cancelled, shortened or lifted early, whatever the reason given. It ends only when the chosen period has fully elapsed.
02 // Activating it
It is available directly from the account, without a request, a form or a conversation.
The confirmation screen says in plain words that the measure cannot be reversed before the end of the period. Read it. This is the screen people click past and regret.
The periods available are shown in your account. Choosing a longer one is a decision, not a penalty.
It takes effect immediately. From that moment, access to play is blocked and marketing stops.
Access does not simply resume as if nothing happened: the return process that applies to your account is set out in the specific online gaming conditions of use.
Self-exclusion is not account closure
Closing an account is an administrative step that can be undone by opening another one, and it carries none of the protections above. If the point is to stop playing, self-exclusion is the measure that actually does that.
03 // Compare
The right tool is the one that matches what you have decided, not the one that feels least final.
Blocks access and stops marketing for a fixed period that runs to its end. It is the appropriate choice when continuing to play is itself the problem.
A break pauses access for a shorter period and ends automatically. A limit caps spending or time while you continue to play. Support outside the account is available at any point, including during a self-exclusion.
