A break suspends access to play for a period you choose. The account stays open, nothing is closed, and no explanation is required to start one.

- Confirm the break
It starts immediately once confirmed. Participation already completed before that moment is unaffected.
- Wait it out
A break cannot be shortened once it has started — otherwise it would offer no protection at the exact moment protection is needed.

Self-exclusion is for when the decision should carry more weight and last longer. Neither one can be cut short once it has started — that is precisely what makes them work — so choose the length deliberately rather than assuming you can undo it.
