A limit is a decision made calmly, applied later, when deciding calmly is harder. Deposit, wagering and session-time caps belong to the account as a whole, not to a single game.

How to set or change a limit
Setting a limit takes less time than reading this page, and it does not require contacting anyone.
- Open the limits section of your account
Limits sit in the account itself, alongside your details, not in a separate support process.
- Choose the type of limit and the period
Deposit, wagering or session time, and the period the cap applies to. The available periods are shown in the account.
- Confirm the amount
A lower limit applies immediately. An increase does not: it takes effect only after a delay, which is what stops a limit from being raised in the middle of a session.
- Check it later
A limit that no longer matches how you play is worth revisiting. Lowering it is always immediate.
Why increases wait
A limit you can raise instantly is not a limit. The delay applied to an increase is set out in the specific online gaming conditions of use and shown in your account before you confirm the change — this page does not quote a duration it cannot confirm.

It is the least restrictive of the three, and the only one designed for people who intend to keep playing.
What a limit does
You carry on playing, within a ceiling you set yourself. Nothing is blocked as long as you stay under the cap, and the account works normally.
When a limit is not enough
If the problem is not the amount but the fact of playing at all, a cap is the wrong instrument. A break pauses access; self-exclusion blocks it for a fixed period and stops promotional communications.
